When using a purely meat filling, buns become excessively greasy and oily. Ingredients
- 4 cups (500 grams) wheat flour
- streaky pork
- shiitake mushrooms
Seasonings
- green onions
- ginger
- baking powder
- yeast
- black pepper
- soy sauce
- sweet bean sauce
- vegetable oil

Cooking Directions
- Add water, baking powder, and yeast to the wheat flour. Stir until a thick doughy consistency is achieved.
- Thoroughly cook the streaky pork. Once coil, chop into small pieces. Wash and chop the mushrooms. Crush the green onions and ginger into powder.
- Heat oil in a pan, then add in the pork, mushrooms, green onions, and ginger. After frying for a short period of time, add black pepper and soy sauce.
- Add sweet bean sauce to complete the filling. Cut the dough into small pieces, and roll into dumpling wrappers.
- Add an appropriate amount of filling to each dough wrapper and enclose the filling by pinching the edges of the dough together into a bun-like shape. Steam for 10 minutes.
- Tip: Be sure to mix the dough evenly and thoroughly, so that the buns are soft and light after steaming.
