Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (150 grams) Japonica rice
- 3.5 ounces (100 grams) Chinese yam, peeled
- 1.75 ounces (50 grams) lotus seeds
- 3/4 ounce (20 grams) lychee, dried
Seasonings
- crystallized rock sugar, to taste
Please see measurements in grams to be more exact for all ingredients and seasonings.
Cooking Directions
- Remove the pits from the dried lychee. Soak the lotus seeds for a short period of time in boiling water.
- Wash and peel the Chinese yam and cut into tiny pieces.
- Wash and rinse the Japonica rice.
- Add water to a pot and bring to boil. Add in the rice, Chinese yam, lotus seeds, and lychee, stirring evenly. Cook under high heat.
- Turn to low heat and continue to cook until the rice becomes soft and viscous. Mix in the crystallized rock sugar and remove from heat.
