Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds chicken (750 grams)
- 1 cup (200 grams) japonica rice
- 1 ¾ ounces (50 grams) ham
- 2 century eggs
Seasonings (all to taste)
- ginger
- scallions
- salt
- cooking wine
- oil

Cooking Directions
- Cut the ginger into thin strips. Wash the chicken and cut into small pieces. Add salt, cooking wine, and some of the ginger and allow to marinate.
- Cut the ham into small strips.
- Wash the rice. Finely chop the scallions. Peel the century egg and cut into small pieces.
- Put rice in a pot with water as needed, bring to the boil, then simmer until it forms congee. Add the chicken pieces and cook thoroughly.
- Add the egg and ham and cook through. Add salt to taste, then add cooking oil, scallions, and ginger. Stir and serve.
