Beef and Lettuce Congee
The Benefits of Pairing Beef and Lettuce
Beef is high in protein and contains essential amino acids. Eating it can enhance the body’s ability to fight disease. Lettuce contains many different vitamins. Chinese believe that when these two ingredients are combined, they work together to boost the immune system.
How to Prepare Beef for Congee Dishes
The beef must be fried first before it is boiled with the congee in order to make it tender and juicy. Remove tendons when cutting raw beef.
